My Story

Accessibility at RoCo Arts

Art is for everyone.

At Rockingham County Arts Council (RoCo), we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience, create, and enjoy art. We are committed to making our programs, exhibitions, events, and creative spaces welcoming and accessible to people of all abilities.

Visiting the RoCo Art Studio

Our studio is located at 124 S. Scales Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.

The RoCo Art Studio offers:

  • Designated accessible parking near the entrance

  • A wheelchair-accessible entrance

  • An accessible restroom with grab bars and space for mobility devices

  • Clear signage to help visitors navigate the studio

We welcome visitors with disabilities and will work with individuals to address their accessibility needs.

Accessibility at RoCo Events

Rockingham County Arts Council holds its community events at ADA-compliant locations.

Accessibility is part of our event planning, including our Creative Trail initiative. We strive to provide clear information about event locations, parking, entrances, and other accessibility features so visitors can plan their participation.

Because facilities and activities vary, we encourage visitors with specific accessibility needs to contact us before attending.

Requesting Accommodations

We want everyone to be able to participate in RoCo programs and activities.

If you need an accommodation, have a question about accessibility, or encounter a barrier to participation, please contact us. We will work with you to identify an appropriate solution.

Help Us Make RoCo More Accessible

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We welcome suggestions from artists, visitors, participants, and community members about ways to improve access to our programs and spaces.

If you have an idea or would like to share your experience, we'd love to hear from you.

Everyone belongs in the arts.
